QASP has six C-Lock GreenFeed systems, five for large ruminants and one for small ruminants.  These systems are designed to measure gas fluxes of methane, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and hydrogen from individual animals. The gas emissions data is logged then automatically processed allowing the user to access a summarized report of calculated fluxes. The units can be used in indoor housing or can be transported to and set up in remote areas for pasture measurements.

Researchers can make a provisional booking enquiry for this equipment via the UQ Bookit website. The request will be reviewed by QASP managment before being approved. We encourage you to make this booking enquiry in advance of your funding application to allow us time to provide an accurate price estimate that can be included with your application.
